Asus Eee PC 1201N was one of the laptops of the first generation Nvidia Ion , along with HP 311 Mini, Lenovo IdeaPad S12 and the latest Acer Aspire One 532G, powerful computers with small dimensions and theoretically hardware notebooks less than that incorporated a graphics processor technology for enhanced netbooks. Nvidia Ion technology is the integration of a GPU (graphics processing unit) discrete dedicated memory that is connected to an Intel Atom CPU Pine Trail through PCI Express. The idea was to prevent Intel’s integrated graphics processor and using an NVidia platform compatible with Intel Atom microprocessors, with a GeForce 9400M integrated graphics.

Thanks to Nvidia Ion Atom processors for netbooks and ultraportables have better speeds in HD video playback and support the latest generation games, although it is still advisable to leave the game for desktop computers. By joining Optimus NVIDIA technology, which automatically assigns the processing cores ION NVIDIA GPU or integrated graphics, the GPU is used for basic tasks like web browsing, further extending battery life. When you need a graphics processing power to play 3D games, play videos or use GPU computing applications, automatically turns on the ION Optimus GPU.
