Fortuny Teacher Exhibition in Barcelona

About 300 pieces, including photographs, paintings, clothing and textiles, make up an exhibition indispensable to understand the talent and the influence of the great Mariano Fortuny, a versatile artist who rose to fame thanks to a Greek-inspired dress which he named as

Delphos , now become a fashion icon.

Son of the painter of the same name, Fortuny was born in Grenada but their image is always associated with Venice, a city that has always been the inspiration for this artist, who also was director Set designer, photographer and painter, which he earned the nickname “Little Leonardo”.

Visitors to the exhibition set out in Barcelona’s La Pedrera, may prove virtually designer creations through a web cam with overlapping models. The public exhibition in Barcelona until June 27.
