There are days when one wants to talk about a subject and making other ends. I spend last week when I wanted to mention the release of a video codec and ends with an entry on a table.
Today I think I’m the same way. I was going to talk about Apple’s incursions into the world of processors (there are even rumors that may be in talks to buy AMD, by the way I love the rumor be fulfilled), when I find a related story. Google buys a company formed by former employees of Apple, but that had previously been employed PA Semi was bought by Apple in 2008. A bit of mess, but it is good that is in a dynamic world such as ours.

And I remembered a conversation I had this weekend, having coffee with a couple of friends. We discussed all that right now companies are paying less and less, work more and no one complains, that you are falling, having a list is already a luxury. In addition the two companies were working on had nothing to do with their studies and their actual knowledge. And of course in positions that were not representative of their true worth. So none of them dared not even to consider a change of company on his own. Not to move into one with better prospects, or to be entrepreneurs. Both have enough seniority in their companies and they told me if things go wrong, get me fired, at least good compensation payment. And here we have two people who would have many opportunities in other site, but to change incentives, which incentives, in contrast with disabilities to try to change and go somewhere where they would be more productive, because it would use the investment that society made to train in a subject.
And as we were chat rooms, we descended into the realm of gossip and talk about a mutual friend who just got divorced for the third time in six years. And we realized that in Spain is much easier to end a relationship of family (children included) that an employment relationship. And it does not seem normal.
And I have very clear that part of our low productivity is generated by a very tight labor market. Here are paid very low wages, but it is difficult to dismiss. I would change to a system with higher salaries in exchange for dismissal facilicitar and labor mobility. So that workers do not be afraid to change company to lose compensation, years of stop … this way stories like the article would be headed by the most common here in Spain. Imagine someone leaving here with a Telefonica engineer to start his own company, which two years are going to work for Vodafone, then mounts another company in your name and everything ends in Orange in two years?? for that.
