Celebrate Earth Hour at Concannon Vineyard, Saturday, March 27, 2010 Concannon Vineyard goes “Unplugged” for Earth Hour
John Concannon, 4th Generation Vintner, Concannon Vineyard, announced today that Earth Hour 2010 will be celebrated at the winery on Saturday, March 27 from 8:30-9:30pm. "To celebrate Earth Hour, we invite everyone to join us as Concannon Vineyard goes 'unplugged' for Earth Hour," says John. "Earth Hour is a way for people across the world to join together and signal their concern about climate change and what better way to come together than around a glass of wine? Climate change negatively impacts many things like water resources, energy supplies and agriculture, and that includes the wine industry. To honor Earth Hour, we will light candles, turn off the power, feature live acoustic music and pour our new Concannon Conservancy wines that conform to the practice of growing grapes and making wine with minimal environmental impact."
