Unpacking my telescope

Let’s make a change today in the blog. I will continue talking about gadgets and technology, but in this case a new segment: the telescopes.

A few weeks ago I asked you advice to buy a telescope. And after reading very carefully the comments in the end I bought a Celestron NexStar 90 SLT. And nothing took some photos while unpacking and assembling the device.

The device is very packed, we first need a cardboard box as shown in the picture above.

But we have to open it in a small manual and a cardboard box and screen printed it on the telescope information it contains. And the open and:

Another cardboard box. I seem to have bought a Russian doll, not a telescope. That if, if it is well protected. We opened the third box and you begin to see things:

We already have in view what looks like a tripod. At the top protected with cork containing the telescope optical tube. And in the cases we see are the objectives, the viewer, the mirror command.

Here’s the optical tube that once out of cardboard, is still protected by a plastic membrane.

The objectives and command go into cardboard boxes and then wrapped in plastic membranes. At that time I already had the room filled to the top of cartons, boxes and plastic. So I took the manual and started to assemble everything.

And it was easier to ride than it seemed. At one point he gently place the tube on the frame and attaches to a tripod. You just have to fit into a slot and tighten a screw. Then the search display, the mirror and objectives. In less than five minutes total.

And here we have the final result with the telescope mounted and ready to see first light. The first impression was very good. The computer came packaged shockproof. And the assembly instructions are easy to follow.

By the way, the purchase is made in AIRELIBRE. The question was very good, I had no problems placing the order and the package arrived in the day I said. Highly recommended.

For the time the assembly was much easier than I thought. The first days I had it mounted, there was no way to look at anything. The sky was clearing. At the end we enjoyed a couple of clear nights and gaze at the stars and planets, I will tell you my experiences next day.
