Last week I complained how hard it is to get the full specifications of a product. We sell most of our custom equipment and if a component is specified as not cause many problems.
The other day we had one of those problems caused by not looking at the product code to the end. We mounted a series of 100% passive PCs without any fan inside. The motherboard we were using had been set without any fans on chipsets. We came the other orders of the same team, so we went back to ask the same components.
When mounting the first PC, we see that the motherboard came with a smaller chipset heatsink and a fan above. We look at the case and was exactly the same. In the manufacturer’s specifications, there was no notice of the change. Ultimately, in Site Taiwanese motherboard appeared. Submodels was 7 and only one of them came with a fan. The serial number of the model had 20 characters and only the last letter stating the change or not indicated whether he was a fan. But in the wholesale price list of the serial number did not include that last number.
The end to look like fools any motherboard without the fan. And two wholesalers had to ask them please to behold physically whether it had the motherboard fan. And one of them if the model was 100% passive, so we pass the order, but until you get to the store we were not alone.
